8/15/2001  Parker Valley CenterA - Colorado company looks to stick to its hometown roots by providing a full-service neighborhood automotive service center.

HTA LLC will break ground in three weeks on the first of its Hometown Auto/Services centers at the Parker Valley Center, at the northwest corner of Twenty Mile and Dransfeldt roads in Parker.

Hometown Auto/Services will service domestic and foreign cars, however it will not provide auto body, glass and engine repair.

George Bost, a 20-year veteran of the automotive aftermarket industry and president of HTA, said that the decision to develop an automotive center with a hometown feel came from becoming increasingly frustrated with the aftermarket business. Additionally, there was a need in the Parker area for this type of auto service center, he said.

The center will total 4,750 square feet and offer eight service bays. Hometown Auto/Services also will offer a 1,000-sf customer reception and waiting area with stocked refrigerators and a childrenīs play area.

For customers who canīt wait, Bost added three loaner cars as well as inexpensive rental cars and a 10-mile radius shuttle service.

The hours of operation for Hometown Auto/Services will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Sunday, the center will be closed, Bost said, adding the decision the close on Sunday will allow employees to have a day to spend with family and friends.

A late November or early December opening is anticipated. Bost expects that Hometown Auto/Services will expand in the metro Denver and Colorado Springs markets to three to five stores by year-end 2002 and grow to 10 stores by the end of 2003, all of which will offer the Parker storeīs amenities.
